In Luke 9:1-17, we witness Jesus sending His disciples out on their first missionary assignment with virtually nothing in their hands to teach them complete dependence on God. He then turns a boy’s small lunch into a feast for thousands, showing that little is much in His hands. These scenes ask us whether we are trusting our own resources or God’s provision.
