A question we hear often
What about church membership?
Calvary Houston doesn’t hold to a formal church membership. Believers in the early church gathered locally to continue in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42) — but there’s no specific biblical command for individual membership rolls.
We believe God places each person into the body as He sees fit (1 Cor 12:18), so we simply go to the local body He sends us to, and we don’t neglect gathering together (Heb 10:25).
