1 Corinthians 2:6-16 shows that human wisdom and religion can never lift us up to God; He must come down to us and reveal Himself through Christ by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gave us God’s very words in Scripture and must also open our eyes to understand them. When we come to God broken and are born again, the Bible comes alive, our minds and lives are transformed, and we become distinct from the world.
