Luke 5:16–26 reveals that our greatest need is spiritual forgiveness, not just physical healing, as Jesus first forgives the paralyzed man’s sins before healing his body. The man’s condition pictures our own spiritual paralysis, while his friends embody persistent, sacrificial faith in bringing others to Christ. By both forgiving and healing, Jesus proves His divine authority and turns the man’s bed of helplessness into a testimony of complete transformation.
