Luke 5:1-15 shows Jesus turning ordinary fishermen into fishers of men. The passage challenges us to trust God’s word over our understanding and to take steps of obedience that don’t always make sense. Jesus’ willing touch and instant cleansing of the leper powerfully picture how He alone can immediately forgive and transform us from the isolating, progressive effects of sin.
