1 Corinthians 7:25-40 shows that singleness and marriage are both God-given gifts, neither more spiritual than the other. It urges us not to rush into marriage to escape loneliness or problems, but to recognize its serious responsibilities and the unique freedom singleness offers for undistracted service to God. In every season, the call is contentment and faithfulness, using our situation to glorify the Lord.
